Виктор Запорожский родился 22 июня в Баку.

В 1976 году окончил ЛГИТМиК – курс Э.А. Поповой.

По окончанию института работал в Театре Юного Зрителя (г. Орел).

1981–1984 гг. - актер Рижского Молодежного театра (Рижский ТЮЗ).

С 1984 года работает в Театре им. Вл. Маяковского.

Vickor Zaporozhsky was born on June 22, 1955 in Baku.

In 1976, he graduated from Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy (E.Popova`s course).

After graduation he worked at Young Spectator`s Theatre (the city of Orel).

In 1981 – 1984 Victor worked in the Young Spectator`s Theatre of Riga.

Since 1984 he has been working at Mayakovsky Theater.

Meritorious artist of Russia (1998).

Victor Zaporozhsky first played in movies as a student in 1974 - 1975 in films ‘It is not over yet’ (Vasya) and ‘Trust’ (Red Army Soldier). At the time when he played at the theaters of Orel and Riga he did not receive invitations to film shootings, and only in 1988, already as an actor of Mayakovskaya theater, he starred in the lead role in photodrama ‘Three Men on the red carpet’ (Nevzorov). Then came the period when practically no films were shot in Russia and only 10 years later directors V. Shmelev Y.Belenky invited the actor for the role of Director of the School in the youth series ‘The Simple Truth’. After that Victor Zaporozhsky played in many films such as ‘Turetsky`s March’ (Yurasov), ‘Children of the Arbat’ (Kirov), ‘Gromovi’ (Seregin), ‘Galina’ (Yuri Churbanov), ‘Cop in Law-1 ‘(Nikolai Markov) and many others. His recent works on the screen are a melodrama ‘Dr. Tyrsa’ (Constantine Bulavin, Anna’s husband), the documentary ‘Catherine III’ (Nicholas Firyubin Furtseva`s second husband), TV series ‘Euphrosinya’ (Paul, Euphrosinya`s father, all seasons), the detective ‘Forensic ‘(Psychiatrist). Victor dubbed film ‘The Witch’ after a story by Nikolai Gogol’s ‘Viy’.
