Efim was born on March 31, 1928 in Sverdlovsk.

From 1948 to 1957 he worked at drama theatres in Orlovsk, Murmansk, Vilnius and Kazan.

From 1957 to 1969 he was an actor of Chelyabinsk Drama Theatre.

In the 1970s Efim worked in Tbilisi, at Griboedov Russian Drama Theatre and then at the Alexandrinsky theatre.

C 1976 he worked at the Leningrad Pushkin Theater.

In 1983 Efim started working at the Moscow New Drama Theatre.

Since 1990 Efim has been working at Mayakovsky Theatre.

He was a freelance instructor in the culture department of the city committee, gave a course of acting in the theatre studio, and organized a student theater.

PRIZES AND AWARDS:

Meritorious artist of the RSFSR (1964), People’s Artist of the Georgian SSR, People’s Artist of Russia (2001).
